| The Music Company Orchestra is a non-profit community orchestra run by its volunteer musician members. Incorporated in 1974, the orchestra performs concerts free or at a nominal cost so that those who would not ordinarily hear orchestral music can experience the excitement of a live concert. In addition to its regular schedule of nursing homes and hospitals, the Orchestra performs for fund-raisers, for area charitable groups and
community activities. |
The Music Company Orchestra maintains two scholarships:
- The Erkkila Scholarship - an annual award to a Ballston Spa High School senior pursuing musical studies beyond high school.
- The Music Company Orchestra Scholarship - an award to a Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake senior who has displayed outstanding musicianship and citizenship.

| The Music Company Orchestra is a member of the American Symphony Orchestra League, the Saratoga County Arts Council and the Albany/Schenectady League of Arts. |
