The Music Company Orchestra is a non-profit community orchestra run by its volunteer musician members.  Incorporated in 1974, the orchestra performs concerts free or at a nominal cost so that those who would not ordinarily hear orchestral music can experience the excitement of a live concert.  In addition to its regular schedule of nursing homes and hospitals, the Orchestra performs for fund-raisers, for area charitable groups and community activities.
The Music Company Orchestra maintains two scholarships:
  • The Erkkila Scholarship - an annual award to a Ballston Spa High School senior pursuing musical studies beyond high school.
  • The Music Company Orchestra Scholarship - an award to a Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake senior who has displayed outstanding musicianship and citizenship.

Membership in the orchestra is available on a limited basis.  However, you may become a friend of the Orchestra at anytime.  Email the orchestra at mcomusic@mcomusic.org
The Music Company Orchestra is a member of the American Symphony Orchestra League, the Saratoga County Arts Council and the Albany/Schenectady League of Arts.
