Support

The Music Company Orchestra is a volunteer orchestra and members pay annual dues. Our conductor receives a modest salary and we own and maintain a large library of music, as well as percussion instruments, music stands and music folders.

Funding for the orchestra comes from several places:
>Advertisements in our program book - 34%
>Friends of the orchestra - 32%
>Annual Cabaret fundraiser - 13%
>Member dues - 8%
>Concert donations - 9%
>Other - 4%

Special concerts have been supported, in part, by the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program and Schenectady County.

You can help us bring the excitement of live orchestra concerts to those who would not ordinarily hear orchestral music by joining the Friends of the Music Company Orchestra. Or consider taking an Advertisement in our Annual Program Book which has a circulation of several thousand.

FRIENDS OF THE MUSIC COMPANY ORCHESTRA

Friends contributions account for over 33% of the MCO's funding.   Friends are listed in our annual program booklet and receive preferred seating at our Cabaret concert.  Friend's contribution levels are as follows:

An anonymous benefactor has donated a substantial amount of money to the Orchestra, which has been matched by the Orchestra.  These funds have been used to start a Capital Fund, which will hopefully grow with time and provide income for Capital Purchases.  Friend's donations of at least $50 may be designated for the Capital Fund.  If you wish to make a Friend's donation, click here!
